About usThe Co-operative Eco-games of Living Earth Games are invented and designed by Lizet Frijters. While home educating her three children, Lizet started to look for new tools to make learning fun and entertaining. After designing a few games and the excitement from friends, she decided to publish them and Living Earth Games got born.It has been a rather challenging journey. We needed to find our way of how to produce them. One thing was clear, we wanted them to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We had the choice between going for the big production or small scale. After a few years of letting it go, Lizet is now working on taking on the manufacturing from home on a small scale. Until now it has been a lot of researching, thinking, learning and trying. We manufacture from home. From the
designer: "My constant desire to design new things, is my way to express my creativity. I have been a fibre artist for years, this doesn't stop me though to push the boundaries wherever I can. I am curious to learn new techniques and explore new materials. The games came as a nice surprise to myself. I just felt that this was something I wanted to take on and now I want to share them with the world. I am often inspired by nature, the environment and my social surroundings. I am also involved in the manufacturing of the games and am doing a lot of research to be able to produce them locally, in an environmentally friendly way." |
